Guillermo is an expert in the automotive sector, specifically in analyzing the future technoligical trends and their repercution in fuel and energy carriers.

After 11 years of academical teaching experience in University and 26 years in the industry, gained at Repsol, he has taken different technology related seats. He has also participated in multiple I+D projects around fuel and automotive lubricants, as well as in different working groups of international organizations of the energetic sector, such as CONCAWE, ORA, CEC, etc. This activity has given him a large technological experience in the energetic and automotive, allowing him to induce future tendencies and develop new technological opportunities.

Background

  • Industrial Engineer Doctor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM)
  • 11 years of academical full-time teaching in the Department of Energetic Engineering and Fluid Mechanics of the same University (UPM), carrying out teaching and investigation assignments on thermal engines
  • 1990: joins Repsol as Head of the Engines Laboratory in the I+D Management Department, taking various positions in the Technology Area until December 2016, having been his last position the one of Senior Consultant for Fuel and Automotive Issues
  • He has taken part during the last 26 years in the Master’s degree of Automotive Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, teaching courses about fuel and lubricants, and from 2017 on, also in the Master’s degree of Industrial Engineering of the Rey Juan Carlos University, teaching courses on alternative thermal engines.
  • From 2003 to 2013 he has been president of the Technical Commission for Engines, Fuel and Lubricants of the Spanish Association of Automotive Professionals (known in Spanish as ASEPA) and spokesperson of the Managing Board of the same association, positions he has renewed since early 2017.
